The children enrolled in
this highly structured academic program will meet five days a week from 9:00
until noon. The Transitional
Kindergarten program is for children ages 4 or 5 years old. It is designed for those children who do not meet
the public school Kindergarten age cut off date or those children not quite
ready to start Kindergarten. Our program
will prepare the children for a successful transition into any Kindergarten
Program. Age appropriate instruction
will be given in Reading, Phonics, Math, Science and Social Studies Programs,
all taught by a state certified teacher.
Instruction will also be given in acceptable school and public manners
and citizenship. Children staying all day will have lunch and then follow the
school wide quiet time. During this time
they will be allowed to use the computer, read, or play quietly. Following quiet time they will have snack and
proceed to the structured daycare program until their parents pick them up.
